About us
Hello, I am Lindiwe Richer

I established LR Geotech in 2015. I have 20 years’ experience in the industry and has worked in the mining, civil engineering and housing sectors. I am registered as a Professional Natural Scientist with South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP), as well as a member of the South African Institute for Engineering and Environmental Geologists (SAIEG) and the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA).

I am committed to the professional community & training

I am currently serving as Past President on the Council of the South African Institute of Engineering and Environmental Geologists. I have run a Rock Identification Course for Engineers in the past and currently organise an Annual Seminar on behalf of the institute.

NHBRC Geotechnical Investigations

Carried out as per NHBRC requirements utilising the current standards.

Foundation Investigations

Provides foundation solutions for specific structures ranging from artificially surfaced playing fields to large structures such as multi-storey buildings.

Investigation of Damaged Buildings

Geotechnical investigations carried out using multiple techniques to ascertain the geotechnical reasons for cracks in buildings and provide remediation solutions.


Dolomite STability Investigations

Carried out as required by SANS 1936. Used to determine the potential for sinkholes and subsidences to develop. This establishes the hazard level and determines the type of development that will be allowed as well as the density of development.


Dolomite Risk Management Systems

Compiled in accordance SANS 1936 requirements for developments.

Centreline Investigations

Centreline investigations for powerlines, roads, railway lines, pipelines and canals. Can be carried out according to client specifications.
